Victoria, Australia- The hiring system of Australian IT company New Media Services goes paperless with its recently-developed Human Resource mobile application at the Labor Day job fair on May 1, 2014 to be held at the Baguio City Convention Center, Philippines.
A Client-sourcing version of the app, which was successfully launched at Ad:Tech Australia in Hilton Sydney last month, yielded impressive results and performed effectively.
With the Human Resource version, the app allows job seekers to file their application even without bringing a hard copy version of their resume or curriculum vitae. After an interview, a job seeker enters relevant information as well as contact details on a provided iPad on-the-spot. The applicant then receives an email containing further instructions for completion of their job application.
According to Jennifer Francisco, HR Manager of New Media Services, the app helps in minimizing the use of paper, facilitates easy review and convenient transfer/access of information. She also noted that the use of HR mobile apps in job fairs and business events is a significant milestone in digitizing Human Resource processes.
New Media Services will be offering career opportunities to web designers and online moderators during the job fair.
