Facebook to Add M on its Entity

It looks like Facebook is heading a direction towards a tougher competition with the other huge brands. Apple, Microsoft, and Google are known for installing personal assistants on their products to satisfy the users, and Facebook has rolled out its own version.

The release of each personal assistant had been the talk of the town. Siri is the only app allowed in iOS which received not-so-good reactions because of its limited function that pushes the users t go premium on offers, such as in Apple Music, and get the full experience. Cortana was introduced by Microsoft this year as part of the Windows 10 release and it was naturally subjected to reviews. It worked well on Windows, but still had various points that must be improved, especially on voice recognition, speed, and precision. Google Now On Tap, which is a built-in app of the latest Android Marshmallows was well-received and deemed as the next success of the company, but has still rooms for development.

In the same road to efficiency, Facebook will add a personal assistant in Messenger that will boost the experience of users. The new service is called M, which works on assisting the users to find good restaurants to eat, process booking travels, or make a purchase. The difference of M from Cortona, Siri and Google Now On Tap, which is a built-in app of the latest Android Marshmallows was well-received and deemed as the next success of the company, but has still rooms for development.

In the same road to efficiency, Facebook will add a personal assistant in Messenger that will boost the experience of users. The new service is called M, which works on assisting the users to find good restaurants to eat, process booking travels, or make a purchase. The difference of M from Cortana, Siri, and Google Now On Tap is that it does not make use of voice command. It will take the form of a chat by typing out the query without bothering to speak it out.

Google and Apple rely on building and artificial intelligence to develop a compelling personal assistant, but Facebook has a different tactic; that is to acquire help from the skilled people. That will be costly unless Facebook decided to apply the same way as the other brands do.

The official release of M will take long and be slow because of its complex and delicate nature, but it will surely raise the bar for Facebook. Although the two brands have totally different purposes, it gives the latter a factor to closely compete with Google. Both services promise efficiency and need time to fully take advantage of these personal assistants.

Aside from this personal assistant in Messenger, Facebook also redesigns its notification tab. There will be groupings on your notification containing not only social happenings, but it also predicts the things you might be interested of based on your taste. Example are the trending topics in your community, new movies or restaurants to try, and updates about the weather.
