BAGUIO CITY, PHILIPPINES MARCH 11, 2013- Three classrooms at Baguio Special Education (SPED) Center belonging to the Hearing Impaired (HI) Department are being renovated, with the efforts of Rossking Pty. Ltd., the Philippine office of Australian IT company New Media Services.
The 2-month renovation process includes fixing of the roof and floor, and installing of new learning materials like chairs, laptops and wide wall mirrors designed for pupils with hearing impairment.
According to Atty. Rafael Nacionales, CEO at Rossking Pty. Ltd., the company will make sure that the “state-of-the-art” classrooms are ready by June this year.
“Some of our employees have volunteered to help in the renovation and we are very proud to say that the classrooms will be our legacy to our children studying at SPED Center,” said Nacionales.
He shared that when the renovation is completed, their company will work on a tie-up with a school for the Deaf in Australia for technology transfer and faculty exchange programs.
“We will continue with our plans of helping the Filipino youth, and we will reach out to more children out there”, expressed the CEO.
In December last year, Rossking Pty. Ltd. sponsored a series of Christmas treats to SPED pupils and staff. The Australian company also organized a Football Clinic that was participated by out of school youth in La Trinidad, Benguet.
